A Variable-Speed Compressor for Changing Air Demand
RG Series VSD screw air compressors are designed for factories that need continuous compressed air, stable system pressure and output that can follow changing demand. The permanent magnet variable-speed drive adjusts compressor speed as air consumption changes, helping reduce unnecessary unloaded operation compared with a fixed-speed machine in a fluctuating-load system.
This oil-lubricated industrial compressor line is suitable for centralized air supply in machining, packaging, electronics, hardware manufacturing, automotive-parts production and other general industrial applications. Final selection should be based on required pressure, total and peak air demand, operating hours, voltage, site conditions and downstream air-quality requirements.

Stable Factory Air with the RG Series

Load-Matched VSD Operation
The permanent magnet motor and variable-speed control system respond to changes in compressed-air demand. This approach is most useful where several machines cycle at different times or where production load varies during a shift. If demand remains consistently close to full load, the operating case should also be compared with a fixed-speed compressor before selection.
Direct-Drive Structure and Industrial Motor Protection
The RG Series uses direct-drive configurations intended to reduce transmission losses and support smoother continuous operation. The standard IP55 permanent magnet motor is suited to industrial environments, while other motor protection configurations must be confirmed for the specific project.
Controller Visibility and Communication Option
The intelligent controller can display pressure, discharge temperature, operating status, fault alerts, running time and maintenance information. Modbus 485 communication is available as a project option when the compressor needs to connect to a customer control system.
Oil Separation and Low-Noise Enclosure
A multi-stage oil-air separation arrangement helps limit downstream oil carryover risk, while the enclosure, vibration control and internal layout are designed for a more manageable workshop operating environment. Applications with strict oil, moisture, particle or dew-point limits still require appropriate downstream treatment.
Where the RG Series Fits, and What to Confirm
Before choosing a model, confirm simultaneous equipment use, total and peak air demand, required endpoint pressure, pipeline length, treatment configuration and planned expansion. The selection should account for pressure loss through the complete system.
Best-Fit Operating Conditions
- Good fit: factories with changing air demand, long operating hours and equipment that benefits from stable pressure.
- Typical uses: CNC machining, packaging equipment, pneumatic tools, automated production lines, spraying and general factory air supply.
Conditions to Confirm Separately
- Confirm separately: low-pressure, high-flow duties, unusually hot or dusty sites, high-altitude installations and non-standard electrical supplies.
- Use another compressor type when the process requires oil-free compressed air; downstream treatment does not make an oil-lubricated compressor oil-free.
Plan the Complete Compressed-Air System
The compressor is one part of the air system. A correctly matched installation may also require:
- An air receiver to buffer demand changes and support stable system operation.
- A refrigerated air dryer for general industrial moisture control.
- A desiccant air dryer when the application requires a lower pressure dew point.
- Precision filters and automatic drains selected for the required particle, oil and condensate control.
- Pipe sizing and routing that limit pressure drop across the complete installation.
For other compressor configurations, compare the available oil-lubricated rotary screw compressor series before confirming the final system.
