Built for 5 Bar Low-Pressure, Large-Flow Air Demand
The RUEGO JYS-HL Series is an oil-lubricated two-stage screw air compressor designed for industrial systems that need continuous large air volume at about 5 bar / 0.5 MPa. The range combines two-stage compression with permanent magnet variable-speed control and covers 37โ220 kW with air delivery from 8.2 to 63.0 mยณ/min.
Typical applications include textile plants, glass production, cement plants, low-pressure conveying, large-volume blowing and centralized low-pressure air supply. Final selection should be based on required flow, simultaneous demand, endpoint pressure, operating hours, pipeline conditions, voltage, cooling method and downstream air-quality requirements.

Why Match the Compressor to a Low-Pressure Process?
Process-Matched 5 Bar Pressure
Not every industrial process needs 8 or 10 bar compressed air. Where the actual requirement is around 5 bar, the JYS-HL Series lets the compressor configuration follow the process instead of relying on a higher-pressure machine that is not matched to the duty.
Large Flow for Continuous Demand
The 8.2โ63.0 mยณ/min range supports applications where airflow and continuous supply are more important than higher pressure. Model selection must account for peak demand, the number of simultaneous air points and any planned expansion.
Two-Stage Compression with VSD Control
Two-stage compression and permanent magnet variable-speed control are intended to support stable supply and better load matching in long-running systems with changing demand. Actual energy performance still depends on the load profile and the complete air-system design.
Cooling and Maintenance by Site Condition
Cooling can be air-cooled or water-cooled according to the model and project. Ventilation, cooling-water conditions, foundation capacity, maintenance clearance and dust exposure should be confirmed before the final configuration is approved.
Where JYS-HL Fits, and What to Confirm
JYS-HL is a dedicated low-pressure series. Confirm the required pressure at the point of use before selecting it, because low pressure alone does not make the compressor suitable for every application.
Suitable Applications
- Textile, glass and cement plants with confirmed low-pressure continuous air demand.
- Low-pressure conveying and large-volume blowing where airflow takes priority over higher pressure.
- Centralized low-pressure air stations serving multiple points of use.
Conditions to Confirm Separately
- For 8, 10 or 12.5 bar duties, compare the JYS-HA standard and medium-pressure series.
- Choose another compressor type when the process requires oil-free compressed air; downstream treatment does not make an oil-lubricated compressor oil-free.
- Dusty, hot or water-cooled sites require separate confirmation of ventilation, cooling, installation and maintenance conditions.
A 5 bar compressor is not automatically more energy efficient in every system. The benefit depends on whether the process truly needs low-pressure large-flow air and whether the compressor, piping and treatment equipment are correctly matched.
Plan the Complete Low-Pressure Air System
Low-pressure large-flow systems are sensitive to pressure loss. Compressor selection should therefore be reviewed together with the pipe network and downstream treatment:
- Size pipe diameter and routing for the required flow, pipeline distance and number of air points.
- Use an air receiver when demand changes require additional buffering and pressure stability.
- Add a refrigerated air dryer for general industrial moisture control, or confirm a desiccant dryer when a lower pressure dew point is required.
- Select precision filters and automatic drains for the required oil, particle and condensate control.
- For water-cooled models, confirm cooling-water flow, temperature, pressure, water quality and circulation conditions.
For a broader comparison of pressure ranges and two-stage configurations, review the two-stage screw air compressor series before confirming the final project specification.
